Beef with black bean

Ingredients

500 g

lean beef stir-fry strips
|
|
2 tbsp

canola oil
|
|
1 tbsp

chopped ginger

red capsicum, sliced
|
|
2 sticks
|
|
celery, sliced
|
|
200 g
|
|
snowpeas
|
|
1/4 cup
|
|
black bean sauce
|
|

Method

|
Start cooking rice or noodles. Mix beef strips with oil and ginger.
|

Heat wok or frypan on high (no need to add any extra oil). Stir-fry beef strips in two batches for 1-2 minutes, allowing pan to reheat between each batch. Remove all meat and set aside.

Add capsicum, celery and snowpeas to pan with a sprinkling of water, stirring for 2-3 minutes.
|
|
4.
|
|
Return beef strips to wok. Stir in black bean sauce. Toss to heat through, about 1-2 minutes.

5.

|
Serve with rice or noodles and a side dish of steamed Chinese vegetables, drizzled with oyster sauce if desired.
